Haiti: The President has remarried



The President of the Republic, His Excellency René Préval, was married in the utmost discretion, Sunday, December 6 ongoing Elisabeth Debrosse, informs his private secretary. It is the officer of the State Civil Marianne Valens who presided over the wedding ceremony which took place about eleven o'clock in the morning Kenskoff in the couple's second home, away from TV cameras. One of the two daughters of the head of state, Dominique Preval and a son from his current wife were witnesses to the marriage.

This is the third time that Mr. René Préval has said yes to a woman. Solange Lafontant was the first wife of René Préval. From this union two children were born, Dominic and Patricia Preval.

During his first term, René Préval was married Guerda Benedict, eldest sister of MP Steven Benedict. The marriage ended almost automatically after the first term of his presidency.

Ex-wife of Leslie Delatour, a former finance minister, former governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti during the first term of René Préval, Elizabeth Debrosse comes from a family of industrialists founded the company treated water Culligan. In common with the former Minister of Finance had three children.

René Préval, 66, who has two presidential terms in his record is, for now, his third marriage.
